Diesel generator set in the use of diesel engine water tank will produce some scale, oil generator water tank if too much scale, debris will block the tank, and easy ignition is not correct, will lead to generator overheating, thermal conductivity decline, directly affect the heat dissipation effect thereby reducing the service life of the diesel generator set, so we should remove these scale in time, So where does this scale come from?
The cooling system of diesel generator set will have a certain loss of coolant during use, and it is necessary to add water to the cooling system in time. Some users do not add coolant or distilled water, but directly add hard water, and the calcium and magnesium ions in hard water are easy to form scale with the inorganic salt components in the ordinary coolant. The silica gel scale mainly comes from the silicate in the non-machine coolant. The metal scale is mainly iron scale and solder scale. The former is mainly formed by the protective film generated by the reaction of inorganic salts in the ordinary non-machine coolant with the iron metal on the cylinder block due to consumption, while the latter is a fluffy sediment formed by the strong oxidation of inorganic salt corrosion inhibitors to increase the “flowering” of the solder. So, if you need to add water to the cooling system, you can’t add tap water directly but you need to use coolant or distilled water.
The following two methods can be used to clean up after the production of scale.
First, remove with acid and alkali cleaning agent. First of all, 30 kilograms of water, 2.5 kilograms of caustic soda, 0.6 kilograms of kerosene into a cleaning solution, poured into the tank. Then start the diesel engine, run at medium speed for about 10 minutes and then turn off. After 10 to 12 hours, restart the diesel engine, run at medium speed for about 10 minutes, and release the cleaning liquid. After adding clean cooling water, start the diesel engine and clean itself by running at medium speed. Repeat this 2 to 3 times, you can completely remove the scale.
2. Rinse with pressure water. Release the cooling water of the cooling water tank, remove the radiator inlet and outlet water pipe, the cylinder head outlet water pipe, the thermostat, and then install the cylinder outlet water pipe, use the pressure of no more than 3kgf/cm2 clean water from the cylinder head outlet pipe, rinse the water jacket, and remove the scale, until the water flowing out of the pump is not turbid, and flush the water from the radiator outlet pipe to remove the scale. Until the water nozzle discharge is not turbid water.
