Daily/Weekly: Basic Protection is Essential
Before each daily startup, check the oil, coolant, and diesel levels, and inspect for pipeline leaks; monitor the battery voltage, clean the surface dust of the air filter. Run the engine unloaded for 3-5 minutes, listen for abnormal engine sounds, and observe the color of the exhaust smoke.
Weekly: Key Discharge of Water and Oil Separators, Inspection of Belt Tension, Testing of Start/Stop and Alarm Functions, and Cleaning of the Generator Surface and Dust, Ensuring Good Ventilation in the Machine Room.
Monthly/Quarterly: In-depth Inspection to Eliminate Hazards
Each month, run the generator at 30% – 50% load for 30 minutes to check the sealing of the exhaust system and the reliability of the grounding cable, clean the battery terminals to prevent oxidation. Every 250 hours or every six months, replace the engine oil, oil filter, and diesel filter, clean or replace the air filter, and check the valve clearance and the tightness of the pipe joints.
Annual/Long-term: Comprehensive Maintenance to Ensure Performance
Every 500 hours or every one year, complete all the above minor maintenance items, additionally check the working condition of the turbocharger and the radiator, test protection functions such as overload and high temperature. Every 1,000 – 1,500 hours or every two years, completely replace the coolant, clean the oil tank and the oil circuit system, test the atomization effect of the fuel injector, conduct a 1-2 hour test at 80% rated load to ensure the generator operates stably at full load.
Before maintenance operations, ensure the generator is shut down and disconnected from power supply. Select high-quality components, record each maintenance content in detail, and keep the generator in the best condition at all times, ensuring no breakdown in critical situations.
