There must be no air leakage in the intake pipe. Oil change and cleaning should be carried out in a place free of wind and dust.
The filter screen should be blown with high-pressure air in a low-humidity environment, and the direction of the air blowing should be opposite to the direction in which the air enters the filter screen.
When installing, the folding directions of adjacent filter screens should cross each other. If the above indicators are not met, it indicates that the installation is not up to standard and should be reassembled.
The direction of the dust exhaust port should be such that it can discharge dust particles.
Key points for the maintenance and care of air filters and oil filters
In addition to maintaining the air filter strictly in accordance with the time and operation requirements specified in the user manual, the following points should also be noted: The engines of tractors and agricultural transport vehicles are all equipped with air filters, oil filters and diesel filters, commonly known as the “three filters”. When maintaining a centrifugal fine filter, special attention should be paid to the installation after disassembly and cleaning: ① There should be no jamming phenomenon. The inspection method is as follows: After reassembling the rotor, roll it forcefully by hand. If the rotor can freely rotate 2 to 3 times and then come to a stop after releasing it, it is qualified. ② You can also install the fine filter on the vehicle, start the engine, and run it at the rated speed for a few minutes. When the oil temperature reaches 70℃, turn off the engine. At this time, listen to the rotor continuing to roll outside the casing for more than 1.5 minutes, which indicates that the installation is qualified. The oil filter must be maintained at the designated time and the following points should be noted: Centrifugal oil filter. The performance of the “three filters” directly affects the working function and service life of the engine. The surface of the blade must not peel off the paint to prevent oxidation particles from entering the cylinder.
The metal mesh (wire) in the fine filter is used as a substitute. The diameter of the holes or the metal wire can only be slightly smaller and cannot be increased. The filling amount must not be reduced either, otherwise the filtration effect will be reduced.
During maintenance, it is necessary to clean and ventilate the mesh holes. For those with dust collection cups, the dust particles must not exceed one-third of the height; otherwise, they should be removed in a timely manner. The seal at the mouth of the dust collection cup should be tight, and the rubber sealing strip must not be damaged or lost. The oil level of the fine filter should comply with the specified dimensions. If it is too high, it will cause engine oil to enter the cylinder and form carbon deposits. If it is too low, it will reduce the filtering effect and accelerate wear. At present, a considerable number of drivers do not carry out the maintenance and upkeep of the “three filters” as required in the manual, resulting in frequent engine malfunctions and premature entry into the inspection period. The deflector grating of the air filter should remain undeformed and free from rust. Its inclination Angle should be 30 to 45 degrees. If it is too small, the resistance will increase, affecting the air intake. If it is too large, the rotation of the airflow will weaken and the ability to separate dust will decrease.
