To prevent diesel engine runaway failure, the following precautions shall be taken:
(1) Do not adjust or disassemble the high-pressure fuel pump at will. If adjustment is really necessary, it shall be carried out on a dedicated test bench.
(2) Strengthen the maintenance of the diesel engine fuel pump. Keep parts such as the rack, sector gear and control sleeve of the high-pressure fuel pump clean. Regularly check the fitting condition of the sector gear and control sleeve to ensure correct matching and flexible movement.
(3) Do not overfill oil in the oil pan of the air cleaner. Replace the lubricating oil of the governor regularly, and do not overfill the engine oil either.
(4) The quality of fuel oil and lubricating oil shall comply with specified standards.
(5) For diesel engines that have been parked for a long time, inspect the relevant parts of the governor before starting, and remove rust before putting into use.
(6) For filter elements cleaned with gasoline, fully spin off the residual gasoline and let the gasoline evaporate completely in the open air before installing into the air cleaner.
(7) For diesel engines equipped with a turbocharger, replace damaged oil seals in a timely manner.
