1. For generators powered by diesel engines, the operation of the engine part shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations for internal combustion engines.
Before starting the diesel generator set, it is necessary to carefully check whether the wiring of each part is correct, whether each connection part is reliable, whether the brushes are normal, whether the pressure meets the requirements, and whether the grounding wire is in good condition.
Before starting, set the resistance value of the excitation rheostat to the rated position, disconnect the output switch, and for generator sets with clutches, disengage the clutch. First, start the diesel engine under no-load conditions. Only when it runs smoothly can you start the generator.
After the generator starts to operate, one should always pay attention to whether there are any mechanical noises, abnormal vibrations or other conditions. After confirming that the situation is normal, adjust the generator to the rated speed, set the voltage to the rated value, and then close the output switch to supply power externally. The load should be gradually increased to strive for three-phase balance.
V. Parallel operation of generators can only be carried out when the conditions of the same frequency, same voltage, same phase and same phase sequence are met.
Six. All generators ready for parallel operation must have entered normal and stable operation.
Seven. After receiving the signal of “Ready for parallel connection”, adjust the diesel engine speed based on the entire device and close the switch at the moment of synchronization.
Viii. For generators operating in parallel, the load should be reasonably adjusted and the active and reactive power of each generator should be evenly distributed. The active power is regulated by the throttle of the diesel engine, and the reactive power is regulated by excitation.
Ix. When the generator is in operation, pay close attention to the engine sound and observe whether the indications of various instruments are within the normal range. Check whether the operating parts are normal and whether the temperature rise of the generator is too high. And keep good operation records.
When parking, first reduce the load, restore the excitation rheostat to lower the voltage to a minimum, then turn off the switches in sequence, and finally stop the diesel engine from running.
If a diesel engine operating in parallel needs to be shut down due to a decrease in load, the load of the generator that needs to be shut down should first be fully transferred to the generator that continues to operate, and then the shutdown should be carried out in the same way as shutting down a single generator. If a complete shutdown is required, first cut off the load, and then handle the shutdown of each individual generator.
Twelve. For mobile generators, the base frame must be placed on a stable foundation before use and must not be moved during operation.
Thirteen. When a generator is in operation, it should be regarded as having voltage even without excitation. It is prohibited to work on the lead-out line of the rotating generator, touch the rotor with hands or clean it. A running generator must not be covered with canvas or other objects.
Fourteen. After the generator has been overhauled, it is necessary to carefully check whether there are any tools, materials or other debris between the rotor and stator slots to avoid damaging the generator during operation.
All electrical equipment in the computer room must be reliably grounded.
Sixteen. No sundries or flammable and explosive items are allowed to be piled up in the computer room. Except for the on-duty personnel, no other people are allowed to enter without permission.
17. Necessary fire-fighting equipment should be provided in the room. In case of a fire accident, power supply should be immediately cut off, the generator turned off, and carbon dioxide or carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers should be used to put out the fire.
