For diesel generators, whether air can be relied on for cooling is a question that many people are eager to know. There is no doubt that the cooling work of the generator is the top priority among all tasks. Once the cooling work of the diesel generator is not done well, the stability of its operation cannot be guaranteed. In most cases, the cooling of ordinary small and medium-sized diesel generators can only be achieved through air. Then, is this reasonable and reliable? Even for single-unit generators, not generator sets or large generators, the cooling technology has been improved accordingly. Generators that are cooled solely by air can basically meet the requirements. In fact, most generators also use air as the cooling medium. It can be said that most generators with small capacity or within a certain range of power generation are air-cooled. Therefore, air cooling is relatively reliable.

 

 

 

The principle of air cooling determines its reliability. The generator will supply air to the interior. When the air passes through the generator, the heat will be stirred up. When the air comes out, the heat will be carried out. This is a basic and common heat conduction method, which is now used by most small and medium-sized generators, especially small ones. However, its heat conduction capacity is relatively low and it is not suitable for cooling large generators. The claim that air cooling is reliable is, in some cases, one-sided. After all, it is extremely unreliable for large generators or generator sets to use air for cooling. Just imagine, when the heat increases, so does the amount of hot air. All of this air urgently needs to be cooled. It is obvious that simply cooling the air cannot meet the demands of large generators or generator sets.
