Things to keep in mind when operating the equipment when the temperature rises

I. Clean the Cooling System: Unclog the “Breathing Passage”

The radiator serves as the core of heat dissipation. External dust and insect debris tend to clog its gaps, resulting in reduced cooling efficiency.

External Cleaning: Rinse the radiator with low‑pressure hot water mixed with detergent every 200 operating hours. Direct the water jet from the front side toward the fan. Cover the generator set with a cloth during rinsing.

9.2

Removal of Stubborn Stains: If hard scale forms on the surface, remove the radiator, soak it in hot alkaline water for 20 minutes, then flush with hot water.

Internal Descaling: Inspect the coolant regularly. In case of limescale clogging, clean with 4%‑8% acid solution, neutralize with alkaline solution followed by clean‑water flushing, and finally add anti‑rust agent.

II. Optimize Operating Environment: Dual‑pronged Cooling Measures

High‑temperature conditions aggravate unit overheating. Improve both installation layout and ventilation:

Installation Location: Avoid direct sunlight. Erect a sunshade shelter or install the unit in a well‑ventilated indoor space. Add a forced‑cooling system when necessary.

Engine Room Ventilation: Keep a 1‑meter clear zone around the unit free of obstacles to guarantee unobstructed air intake and exhaust outlets. Axial fans may be fitted to boost air convection.

III. Inspection of Key Components: Guard Against “Hidden Hazards”

Coolant: Use distilled water or soft water. Regularly check coolant level and quality. Avoid partial draining or refilling. Drain or fully fill the coolant for long‑term standby storage.

Fan & Water Pump: Verify smooth fan operation and check the water pump for leakage to ensure normal coolant circulation.

Intelligent Monitoring: For units equipped with intelligent control systems, calibrate temperature sensors periodically to ensure responsive over‑temperature alarm functions.

IV. Daily Maintenance Mnemonic: Simple, Memorable & Practical

Three Checks: Check coolant, check fan, check ventilation.

Two Cleanings: Clean external dust, clean internal limescale.

One Replacement: Replace engine oil and filters per scheduled cycles.
