As we all know, the operational efficiency of diesel generators is closely related to the environment. When the environment changes, the power of the unit will also vary accordingly, often resulting in the unit being unable to maintain an optimal power condition. Temperature is also one of the rated factors that directly affect the performance of the unit. When the temperature is too low, it may directly cause the unit to fail to start. At this time, we need to use some special methods to start the unit when the temperature is too low.
When the temperature is too low, it will cause the temperature of diesel to be too low, and the temperature inside the combustion chamber cannot reach the ignition point, resulting in the machine being difficult to start. To this end, we can adopt the approach of adding hot water, using relatively hot cooling water to achieve the effect of heating the unit. Moreover, due to the very low temperature, there will be less engine oil inside the cylinder, the sealing effect will be poor, and the lubrication effect will also fail to reach the required level. As a result, it will be more difficult to start. In such a situation, we can remove the fuel injector, add some engine oil inside the cylinder, and at the same time increase the pressure during compression. This makes it easier for the unit to ignite when in use. Of course, when the temperature is too low, the air flow will relatively deteriorate. At this time, we need to take some measures. After the unit starts up, we need to ventilate the machine room through the fan after the unit is put into use to ensure the supply of oxygen inside. At the same time, when choosing diesel, we should select the standard diesel and avoid using some diesel that is more difficult to burn, which may make it more difficult to start the unit. At the same time, when the temperature is too low, we need to ensure that the battery’s power is sufficient to keep it running when it starts. Meanwhile, under normal circumstances, we can adopt certain measures to increase the temperature inside the computer room, and then lower the temperature after the unit starts up, to ensure the normal operation of the unit.
