The main rated electrical parameters of a synchronous generator are:
(1) Rated power (pe) refers to the rated active power that the generator can output under rated operating conditions, measured in kilowatts (kW) or megawatts (MW).
(2) Rated voltage (Ue) refers to the line voltage of the generator during normal operation, measured in volts (V) or kilovolts (kV).
(3) Rated current (Ie) refers to the line current of the generator when operating under rated conditions, measured in amperes (A) or kiloamperes (kA).
(4) Rated speed (nc) is the speed required for the generator to maintain an alternating current frequency of 50Hz during normal operation, measured in revolutions per minute (r/min).
(5) Rated efficiency (ηe) refers to the efficiency of the generator when operating under rated conditions.
(6) Rated frequency (fe) The rated frequency in China is 50Hz.
(7) Rated power factor (cosφe): refers to the power factor of the motor when operating at rated conditions.
(8) Rated temperature rise: the degree by which the stator and rotor windings of the generator can rise above the ambient temperature during operation. In China, the ambient temperature is calculated at 40℃.
