- Excessively high temperatures in diesel engines are mainly manifested by abnormally high water temperatures, and the primary cause is low cooling efficiency. When the temperature of a diesel engine is too high, it will lead to reduced clearance between moving parts, decreased strength, and poor lubrication. In severe cases, it may cause cylinder scuffing and bearing seizure accidents. Therefore, timely maintenance should be carried out when the temperature of a diesel engine is too high. If a diesel engine is used for a long time with hard water, a large amount of scale will form in the water tank and waterways, resulting in poor heat dissipation.
2.There is too much sediment of impurities in the waterways of the engine block and cylinder head, which hinders the smooth water circulation and causes poor heat dissipation.
3. Severe oil burning leads to excessive carbon deposits and poor heat dissipation.
4. Improper operation and use. When starting a diesel engine, it should be preheated for a period of time with medium or small throttle. Suddenly increasing the throttle and loading the engine heavily should be avoided, as this would cause the diesel engine to operate roughly and the temperature to rise sharply. Or if the diesel engine is overloaded for a long time, it will also lead to excessively high engine temperature.
5. Delayed fuel supply causes the diesel engine to overheat.
6. Immediately after maintenance, the equipment was put into full-load operation, causing overheating of moving parts or getting stuck due to too small a clearance.
7. Insufficient cooling water causes the diesel engine to overheat.
