The radiator of the diesel generator set can play the role of cooling the unit, but once the radiator is in trouble, the temperature of the unit will rise, which will not only affect the efficiency of the unit, but also have security risks. The main performance of radiator damage is water leakage, radiator leakage is generally very small, the naked eye is difficult to find. Today we will introduce the inspection and maintenance of radiator of diesel generator set. When a radiator leak is found, first clean the radiator and then check for the leak. During the check, you can use the following two types of methods: 1. Plug the inlet and outlet water outlets of the radiator, install a connector from the overflow pipe or oil drain plug, and inject 0.15-0.3 kpa/cm2 of compressed air. Put the radiator in the sink. If there’s a bubble, it’s a leak. 2. Check the flushing method. When checking, plug the inlet and outlet of the radiator, and inject water from the outlet to observe whether there is leakage. To find small cracks, apply a certain amount of pressure to the radiator or make the radiator vibrate slightly, and watch carefully as water seeps through the broken area. If a radiator leak is found, it must be repaired promptly. Here, we will introduce two maintenance methods: 1. Welding repair of upper and lower water chamber. When the leakage of the water chamber is not large, it can be repaired directly with solder. If the leakage is large, it can be repaired by welding with purple steel skin. To repair welding, apply a coat of solder to the side of the steel skin and the broken part, place the steel skin on the leaking part, and then heat it outside with a soldering iron to melt the solder and weld around it. 2. Repair the radiator water pipe. If the water pipe outside the radiator breaks in a small area, use needle-nose pliers to remove the radiator near the water pipe and repair it directly with solder. If there is a big break or water leakage in the middle of the pipe, it should be handled flexibly according to the specific situation, such as stuck drilling, pipe blocking, nozzle, pipe changing method. However, the number of stuck pipe and blocked pipe shall not exceed 10% of the total number of pipes, so as not to affect the heat dissipation of the radiator effect. This paper first introduces the harm of the radiator problem, so in the use of diesel generator set, once found radiator leakage, should immediately stop the check, and through the above method to find the radiator leakage place, timely repair, in order to keep the unit in good working condition.
