Therefore, the operation of the diesel generator set is inseparable from these two oils: fuel oil and lubricating oil.
1. Diesel generator sets are diesel-powered power generation equipment. The quality of the fuel directly affects the service life of the diesel engine. Qualified diesel is clear and transparent, and the color is mostly yellow or light yellow. If the diesel is found to be turbid or black, colorless don’t use it. The density of diesel oil is about 0.85. If the density is too high, it means that there are many components in the water. The use of this diesel fuel can easily cause incomplete combustion, black smoke, and carbon deposition. It puts a burden on the fuel filter of the unit. If it cannot be cleaned and replaced in time, it will affect the service life of the unit; the same density is not too low, so it is easy to knock, mechanical acceleration is weak, and the probability of fire increases.
2. The diesel generator set equipped with fuel filters and lubricating oil filters can better relieve the pressure caused by insufficient fuel and lubricating oil. It is necessary to replace the filters regularly and irregularly.
3. Lubricating oil is mainly used to reduce the friction between the surfaces of moving parts, and at the same time it has the functions of cooling, sealing, anticorrosion, antirust, insulation, power transmission, cleaning impurities, etc. The quality of the lubricating oil directly affects the service life of the diesel generating set.
4. Fuel and lubricating oil can irritate the skin. People with allergies or injuries to their hands should wear protective gloves to touch the oil. If they accidentally come into contact with the oil, they should be thoroughly cleaned with clean gel and water. The correct selection and use of fuel and lubricating oil greatly increase the service life of the unit.
