The diesel generator set shall be installed level, and rubber shock absorbers of no less than 2 cm thick shall be fitted under the fixing feet of the unit.
The diesel generator set shall be installed in a well-ventilated, heat-dissipated and dust-free area.
For the first operation, the unit must run with a load of 50% or more but not exceeding 80%. It can only be put into normal service after a 60-hour running-in period.
The generator set shall normally operate at 80% of its rated power.
Lubricating oils of different specifications are strictly prohibited from being mixed.
In cold weather, antifreeze coolant shall be used; alternatively, all drain valves shall be opened after the unit cools down upon shutdown to prevent the engine block from cracking due to freezing.
The starting battery of the diesel generator set requires regular inspection, generally once every 15 days.
The engine oil of the diesel generator set needs regular replacement, normally once every 200 operating hours.
If the diesel generator set remains idle for a long time without power generation, start it up for more than 10 minutes within every 15 days, until the coolant temperature of the diesel engine rises above 50°C.
