When the temperature of the flowing water is higher, then close the water drain switch. Additionally, an open flame such as a blowtorch can be used to heat the oil pan to improve the flowability of the engine oil and reduce the frictional resistance of the components. It is also necessary to ensure that the battery has sufficient capacity and good performance, which also helps to improve the starting performance of the diesel engine.
Improve the sealing performance of the cylinder
One of the differences between diesel engines and gasoline engines is that they are compression ignition engines. Therefore, the cylinder should have a high sealing performance. When starting the engine in winter, due to the small amount of engine oil on the piston ring and the cylinder wall, the sealing effect is poor, resulting in repeated starts but no ignition and operation. Sometimes, due to severe cylinder wear, the sealing performance of the cylinder is seriously affected, making the start even more difficult. In this case, the fuel injector can be removed, and 30-40ml of engine oil can be added to each cylinder to enhance the sealing performance of the cylinder and increase the pressure during compression.
Remove air from the oil circuit
Loosen the air vent screw on the high-pressure fuel pump, pump oil manually to drain the air from the low-pressure oil circuit; then, also drain the air from the high-pressure oil circuit. The specific method is: loosen the oil pipe connection of each fuel injector, place the throttle at the maximum fuel supply position, and rotate the crankshaft until the oil outlet of each cylinder fuel injector pipe becomes rapid.
