1. The startup methods of the diesel generator are divided into: automatic, remote (CRT screen soft operation) and local control panel manual startup.
2. The shutdown methods of the diesel generator are divided into: remote (CRT screen soft operation), local control panel shutdown or emergency shutdown, and engine body control panel accident shutdown or mechanical shutdown of the engine body.
3. The diesel generator is equipped with a running mode selection switch, with three positions: “automatic”, “manual”, and “stop”.
4. Automatic mode: The automatic mode is the normal operation mode. When the running mode selection switch is in the “automatic” position, it indicates that the diesel generator set is in the automatic startup state.
5. Remote start and stop mode: When the running mode selection switch is in the “manual” position, it indicates that the diesel generator set is in the remote control mode. The diesel generator can be remotely started and stopped.
6. Local manual start and stop mode: When the local “position selection switch” is in the “local” position, it indicates that the diesel generator set is in the local startup mode. The diesel generator can be manually started and stopped locally.
7. When starting the diesel engine manually, the running mode selection switch is switched to the “manual” mode, and the diesel generator startup switch is closed. When the speed and voltage reach the rated value, the diesel generator outlet switch is closed.
8. The diesel engine is equipped with an automatic synchronization device. During testing, it can be synchronized with the plant power supply to achieve the test of load operation. When the running mode selection switch is switched to the “test” position, the diesel generator startup switch is closed. When the speed and voltage reach the rated value, the diesel generator outlet switch automatically synchronizes with the plant power supply.
9. After the diesel generator is started, the inspector should immediately go to the site to check the generator. Check if there are abnormal sounds, abnormal vibrations, water, oil, loose bolts and nuts, broken circuits, loose pipe joint connections, etc. in all parts of the diesel generator. At the same time, check that the exhaust color of the diesel generator is normal and confirm the following values: speed, lubricating oil pressure, lubricating oil temperature, cooling water temperature, voltage, and frequency.
10. During operation of the diesel generator set, if it needs to be shut down, it is necessary to confirm that the working power supply of the security busbar has been restored.
11.Open the diesel generator outlet switch, wait for the diesel generator to idle for 3-5 minutes, and then open the diesel generator startup switch.
