The valve leakage of diesel generator will directly affect the working characteristics of the engine and the economy of use. Therefore, the maintenance and use of diesel generators should pay great attention to the valve leakage of diesel generators.
Diesel generator valve leakage will cause engine cylinder leakage, increased fuel consumption, poor fuel combustion in the cylinder, exhaust smoke or air filter gas channeling, serious will make the engine difficult to start, and even make the engine work balance damaged, the movement process often abnormal vibration.
The valve leakage of diesel generator is burned by the high temperature air flow, and the valve head and valve seat are soon ablated, so that the mechanical strength is reduced, and then wear and deformation, so that the leakage is more serious and the carbon accumulation is increased, resulting in a vicious cycle.
If the exhaust valve is leaking, and the exhaust pipe is blocked by carbon accumulation, the exhaust is not smooth, and the gap between the valve guide rod and the valve guide rod is too large, a part of the high-temperature exhaust gas will wash the lubricating oil along the gap between the valve guide rod and the valve guide rod and enter the valve chamber, polluting the valve chamber, making the rocker arm components of the valve chamber poorly lubricate, increase the temperature, stick to the carbon accumulation, and accelerate the wear and damage of the generator distribution mechanism.
If the inlet valve leaks, during the compression process of the leaking cylinder, the compression temperature can not make the oil injected at the right time naturally ignite, and part of the combustible mixture returns to the suction port and inlet pipe through the leak gap of the inlet valve, and then re-inhales the cylinder in the intake stroke of the next cycle. When the constant fuel is injected into the cylinder in the working stroke, This accumulated fuel and combustible mixture will burn, making the engine work rough and make a knocking sound.
In the case of a multi-cylinder engine, when the intake valve of a cylinder leaks, the flammable mixture or exhaust gas that flows into the intake pipe will be sucked into other cylinders, so that the work of other cylinders will also be affected.
After the diesel generator valve leakage failure, if the diesel generator maintenance is not timely re-grinding the valve to restore its tightness, it will develop into the ablation of the valve seat, valve head cone and valve rod root in a short time, resulting in failure to repair the need to replace new parts and the danger of the valve breaking into the cylinder and the hidden danger of damage to the parts.
In the installation and repair of diesel generator valve must pay attention to a few points.
1. After the new conduit is loaded into the cylinder head, the reamer is applied to correct the circularity of the conduit and the size of the inner hole, so that the clearance between the valve rod and the conduit hole meets the requirements of the diesel generator set manual, and the valve rod that has been refined cannot be processed. In use, the gap between the valve rod and the conduit hole shall not exceed the wear limit specified in the unit instructions, generally as long as the gap between the valve rod and the conduit reaches 0.13 mm (the valve with a rod diameter equal to or less than φ8 mm) or 0.16 mm (the valve with a rod diameter greater than φ8 mm), the valve or the conduit needs to be replaced, otherwise it will lead to early damage to the valve.
2. The valve of diesel generator sets of different models in the same series may be different, do not mix.
3. Deformed or burned valve seat ring, must be hinged, grinding correction, not only with the valve research method repair, can not repair the valve seat ring should be replaced with a new part, repaired or newly replaced seat mouth and conduit hole should be coaxial, coaxiality tolerance 0.03 mm, valve into the valve seat ring, valve and cylinder head subsidence should meet the requirements of the unit manual.
4. Valve and valve seat gently research to ensure valve tightness, grinding can not use coarse abrasive, valve seat and valve cone contact part, should be in the middle and lower part of the valve cone, valve and seat ring must be sealed, poor seal, will lead to power reduction of the generator set and early damage to the valve.
5. After grinding, apply kerosene to clean the abrasive, and then lubricate the valve rod and conduit with clean oil.
