Precautions for proper water discharge of diesel generators?

Precautions for correct water discharge
1. Open the water tank cover when draining water. If you do not open the water tank cover when draining water, although a part of the cooling water can flow out, as the amount of water in the radiator decreases, a certain degree of vacuum will be generated due to the airtightness of the water tank, which will slow down the water flow. Or stop, in winter because the water is not clean and the parts are frozen.
2. It is not advisable to drain the water immediately when the temperature is high. Before the engine is turned off, if the engine temperature is very high, do not stop and drain the water immediately. Unload the load first to make it run at an idle speed, and then release the water when the water temperature drops to 40-50 °C to prevent contact with water. The temperature of the outer surface of the cylinder block, cylinder head and water jacket suddenly drops due to the sudden release of water and shrinks sharply, while the temperature inside the cylinder block is still very high and the shrinkage is small. crack.
3. The engine should be idling after draining water in cold winter. In cold winter, the engine should be started to idle for a few minutes after releasing the cooling water in the engine. This is mainly because some water may remain in the water pump and other parts after draining. The temperature of the body can dry the residual water in the water pump, etc., to ensure that there is no water in the engine, and to prevent the phenomenon of water leakage caused by the freezing of the water pump and the tearing of the water seal.
