The diesel generator set must be installed safely before the load can be operated, such as the installation of the diesel generator set intake and exhaust system should also be treated scientifically. Otherwise, it will not only affect the normal play of the power of the unit, but also may lead to the existence of hidden trouble. Today I will share with you the installation requirements of the intake and exhaust system of the diesel generator set.
First, the intake system
In order to ensure sufficient fresh air for the operation of the diesel generator set, the diesel engine air intake should be arranged in the place of air circulation. The diesel engine intake pipe of the diesel generator set should avoid the use of long pipes as far as possible, and reduce the number of elbows, or adopt a large arc transition; The inner diameter of the intake pipe should not be less than 200mm, the inner wall of the pipe should be smooth without welding slag particles, and the installation should avoid dust and debris entering the intake pipe. At the same time, it must be ensured that the connection pipe between the air filter and the diesel supercharger is well sealed, and there should not be any gap and leakage phenomenon.
It is recommended to adopt the inclined upper air intake method near the control panel side of the diesel generator set, and add a sheet window and a metal protective screen curtain to avoid foreign objects and ensure normal air convection. To prevent the return of hot air and direct the air in the equipment room as much as possible, the air inlet should be protected to prevent rain and other foreign bodies from entering.
In order to ensure the ventilation volume of the equipment room, the net area of the air inlet of the equipment room is not less than 1.5 times the effective area of the radiator core of the diesel generator set. If the area of the air inlet is too small, it must be operated correctly.
Two, exhaust system
The net area of the exhaust outlet should be at least 1.25 times of the effective area of the radiator core, the central position of the exhaust outlet should be consistent with the central position of the radiator core of the unit as far as possible, and the aspect ratio of the exhaust outlet should be the same as the aspect ratio of the radiator core as far as possible. In order to prevent the return of hot air and the transmission of mechanical vibration to the outside, it is recommended to install an elastic shock-absorbing horn type air duct between the radiator and the exhaust outlet.
The external exhaust pipe is made of steel pipe, and the diesel turbocharger of the unit must be flexibly connected, the internal diameter of the external intake pipe should be greater than the expansion joint, the external exhaust pipe should be firmly fixed, no vibration is allowed, and its weight should not be applied to the diesel expansion pipe; Expansion joints are not allowed to eliminate inter-tube alignment errors.
The exhaust system should reduce the number of elbows and shorten the total length of the exhaust pipe as far as possible, otherwise it will lead to an increase in the exhaust pipe pressure of the unit, and cause excessive power loss of the unit, affecting the normal operation of the unit and reducing the normal service life of the generator set.
The exhaust pipe diameter specified by the diesel generator set is generally based on the exhaust pipe length of 6m and at most one elbow and a muffler installation, when the exhaust system in the actual installation has exceeded all the specified length and the number of elbows, it should be appropriate to increase the exhaust pipe diameter, the increase depends on the total length of the exhaust pipe and the number of elbows.
