First, release water too early or do not release cooling water
Run at idle speed before extinguishing, wait for cooling water temperature to drop below 60℃, water is not hot, then extinguishing water. If the cooling water is released too early, the body will be suddenly invaded by cold air when the temperature is high, resulting in sudden shrinkage and cracks. When the temperature is lower than -4 degrees Celsius, it is necessary to discharge the cooling water in the diesel engine cooling water tank, because the water will freeze and the volume will increase when -4 degrees Celsius, and the cooling water tank radiator will be damaged by the expansion of the volume.
Two, randomly choose fuel oil
The low temperature in winter makes the fluidity of diesel worse, the viscosity increases, it is not easy to spray, resulting in poor atomization, combustion deterioration, leading to the decline of the power and economic performance of diesel engine. Therefore, when choosing oil at low temperature, we should try to choose light diesel oil with thin viscosity, low freezing point and good ignition performance. It is generally required that the freezing point of diesel engine should be lower than the local current seasonal temperature 7-10℃.
Three, start with open fire
The air filter can not be taken off. Dip cotton yarn in diesel oil and ignite it to make kindling and place it in the intake pipe for combustion support start. In this way, in the starting process, the outside dust air will not be filtered and directly inhaled into the cylinder, causing abnormal wear of piston, cylinder and other parts, but also cause the diesel engine rough work, damage the machine. Therefore, under low temperature conditions, it is also necessary to change the air filter element frequently.
Four, the starting method is improper
In order to quickly start the diesel engine in low temperature environment, some workers often adopt the abnormal start method of waterless start (start first, then add cooling water). This practice can cause serious damage to the machine and should be banned. The correct preheating method is: first the insulation quilt cover on the water tank, open the drain valve, into the water tank continuous injection of 60-70 degrees of clean soft water, touch the drain valve with the water hot feeling, then close the drain valve, into the water tank of 90-100 degrees of clean soft water, and shake the crankshaft, so that the moving parts get appropriate pre-lubrication, and then start.
Five, low temperature load operation
Diesel engine start fire, some staff can not wait to immediately into the load operation. Diesel engine soon caught fire, due to low body temperature, large oil viscosity, oil is not easy to fill the friction surface of the moving pair, will cause serious wear of the machine. In addition, plunger springs, valve springs and injector springs are also easy to break due to “cold and brittle”. Therefore, when the temperature is low, the diesel engine should be idled at low and medium speed for a few minutes, and then put into the load operation when the cooling water temperature reaches 60℃.
Six, do not pay attention to body insulation
When the temperature is low, it is easy to make the generator unit cooling excessively. Therefore, thermal insulation is the key to good use of diesel engine in low temperature environment, so in the use of diesel engine should be equipped with thermal insulation sleeve and thermal insulation curtain and other cold proof equipment.
