What Is The Carbon Deposit Of The Diesel Generator Set Engine?

Diesel generators are indispensable equipment in our daily production, and the equipment is used more frequently. Therefore, we often encounter carbon deposits in the engine of the diesel generator set, which will affect the use of the generator set. So what is the carbon deposit of diesel generator set engine? How can we solve this problem?

The so-called diesel generator carbon deposit is actually the product of incomplete combustion of diesel and oil, which enters the combustion chamber. On the top of diesel pistons, carbon deposits around the walls of the combustion chamber and around the valves are a common phenomenon. A large amount of carbon deposits will have a certain impact on the performance of diesel generator sets, and its final performance is: poor combustion, worsening heat transfer, and reducing the reliability of injector operation.

There are many reasons for carbon accumulation in generator sets, mainly the following six reasons:

        1. The fuel injector is not working properly. If the atomization is not good, the oil droplets, the injection pressure is too high or too low, the injection time is too early or too late, the amount of fuel injection is too much, and some fuel will not burn completely.

        2. The oil is serious.

        3. The air leak is very serious.

        4. The cooling water temperature is too low, which will affect the normal combustion of fuel.

        5. The diesel and oil grades are incorrect, the quality is poor, and carbon residues are formed after combustion.

        6. The diesel engine is overloaded or the temperature is too high, and the fire is too early, resulting in incomplete combustion of the fuel.
