The filter of diesel generator set includes three kinds of air filter, fuel filter and oil filter. Once it fails, it is often due to the failure to replace the aging filter in time. In order to avoid the occurrence of this situation, we should strengthen the maintenance of the filter of the diesel generator set to reduce the wear and tear of the machine, so as to prolong the service life of the generator set. This article will introduce the maintenance method of diesel generator set “three filters” in detail.
1. When installing the air filter, it is not allowed to miss, reversely or install the sealing gaskets and rubber connecting pipes in a wrong way, and ensure the tightness of the inserts. Use oil bath air filter, every 100-200 hours of operation, use clean diesel oil to clean the filter element and replace the oil in it. If the filter element is broken, it needs to be replaced immediately, and pay attention to adding oil according to regulations during use. The paper dust cup air filter used should remove dust once every 50-100 hours of operation. Use a soft brush to brush off the surface dust. If the working time exceeds 500 hours or is damaged, it should be replaced in time.
2. All kinds of fuel filters in the fuel supply system should be cleaned once every 100-200 hours of operation, and the fuel tank and each oil pipeline should be thoroughly cleaned. When cleaning the filter element and seals, special care should be taken, if any damage is found, it needs to be replaced in time. When changing the oil during seasonal transition, all parts of the entire fuel supply system should be cleaned. The diesel oil used should meet the seasonal requirements and be subjected to 48 hours of precipitation purification.
3. If the oil filter is not maintained in time during the use of the diesel engine, the filter element will be blocked, the oil pressure will increase, the safety valve will be opened, and the lubricating oil will flow directly into the main oil passage, which will aggravate the wear of the lubricating surface and affect the service life of the diesel engine. Therefore, the oil filter should be cleaned once every 180-200 hours of operation. If it is found damaged, it should be replaced immediately to prevent impurities from entering the lubricated surface. When the diesel generator set is used in different seasons, the crankcase and various lubricating surfaces should also be cleaned. The method is to mix the oil, kerosene and diesel oil as washing oil. After the oil is released, the washing oil can be added for cleaning. Then, the diesel generator runs at a low speed for 3-5 minutes, then drain the washing oil and add new oil.
As for the wearing parts of these three filters, when they are used for a long time, they must be replaced, so as to better prolong the service life of the diesel generator set.
