In the cause and location of occurrence, noise from trailer generator sets may include the following parts:
1. Exhaust noise of internal combustion engine of trailer generator set. That is to say, the exhaust channel noise and exhaust noise of internal combustion engine are the noise of high temperature and high speed pulsating air flow. They are the parts with more energy and components of noise, far higher than the intake noise and the mechanical noise of gas radiation. They are the main part of the total noise and the focus of noise control. Its basic frequency is the ignition frequency of an internal combustion engine.
2. Intake noise of trailer generator set. Box intake noise, intake noise mainly includes silent trailer generator machine noise, generator noise, airflow noise, etc. Because the air intake is a passive inflow and away from the main noise source, the noise level is lower relative to other locations and therefore the required noise reduction is smaller.
3. Exhaust noise of trailer generator set. That’s the noise from the vent of the box. The main components of exhaust noise are exhaust noise, airflow noise, fan noise, machine noise, combustion noise of internal combustion engine, etc. Noise sources, high noise level, quiet RV generator strong exhaust cooling will increase the outgoing noise, so noise control is more difficult.
