What is the relationship between diesel generator temperature rise and ambient temperature?

Diesel generator set as a backup power supply, in the use of a long time uninterrupted operation. With such a large load, the temperature of the diesel generator becomes a difficulty. In order to maintain stable uninterrupted operation, the temperature of the diesel generator is kept within a tolerable range, which requires us to understand the temperature rise requirements and cooling methods.

According to the different insulation resistance of diesel generator, its temperature rise requirements are also different. Usually, the temperature of stator windings, excitation windings, iron core, collector ring and so on is about 80 degrees, more than 80 degrees, the temperature rise is too high.

Temperature rise is the temperature difference between the diesel generator and the environment and is caused by the heat generated by the diesel generator. The diesel generator movement in operation in the alternating magnetic field will form iron damage, winding energized will form copper damage and other stray losses. These will raise the temperature of the motor. At the same time, the motor will also expel heat. When the same amount of heat is generated as the heat is removed, an equilibrium state is reached and the temperature stops rising and stabilizes at a certain level. When the heat generation increases or the heat discharge decreases, it will immediately destroy the stability, so that the temperature continues to rise, increase the temperature difference, improve the heat discharge, and achieve a new stability at another higher temperature, but the temperature difference is increased than before. Next, for you to introduce the relationship between diesel generator temperature rise and environmental temperature.

Theoretically, the temperature rise of diesel generator at rated load should exceed the ambient temperature, but the actual situation is also affected by the ambient temperature and other factors, mainly as follows:

(1) When the temperature drops, the temperature rise of the conventional motor will be slightly reduced. This is mainly because the winding resistance R decreases and the copper consumption decreases. Every time the temperature drops *℃, x drops about 0.4 *.

(2) For the self-cooled motor, the temperature rise will increase by *.5~3℃ for every *0C increase in the ambient temperature. This is mainly because winding copper loss increases with the increase of temperature. Therefore, temperature variation has a great impact on large motors and closed motors.

(3) Due to the improvement of thermal conductivity, the temperature rise can be reduced by 0.07~0.38℃ for every 10* higher air humidity, with an average of 0.19℃.

(4) The altitude shall be 1000m, and the temperature rise limit shall be increased for every 100m.

Diesel generator temperature rise is the key technical index of motor design and operation, which means that diesel generator generates heat. During operation, if the motor temperature rises suddenly, it indicates that the motor is faulty, or the air duct is blocked or the load is too heavy. The customer should maintain the motor as soon as possible.
