The diesel engine fuel system also needs to complete the tasks of diesel supply and air supply, as well as the formation, combustion and exhaust gas discharge of combustible mixture. The fuel used by the diesel engine is diesel. Since diesel is more viscous than gasoline and has poor evaporation, high-pressure injection must be used when the diesel engine is working. A combustible mixture is formed inside the cylinder and self-ignites and burns with the help of the high temperature of the air in the cylinder.
The function of the diesel engine fuel system is to supply clean air to the cylinder and regularly and quantitatively inject fuel into the combustion chamber according to the requirements of various conditions of the diesel engine, and discharge the burned exhaust gas to the atmosphere. Forming system, air supply device and exhaust gas discharge device and other components make up the fuel supply and speed control system.
When the diesel engine is working, the fuel transfer pump draws fuel from the fuel tank and sends it to the fuel filter. After passing through the filter, it enters the fuel injection pump. The fuel pressure is increased in the fuel injection pump, and the fuel supply is required according to different working conditions. It is transported to the injector through the high-pressure oil pipe, and finally forms a mist spray into the combustion chamber through the injection hole. The excess fuel supplied by the fuel transfer pump is returned to the fuel tank through the return pipe of the fuel filter, and a small amount of fuel flowing out of the return pipe at the top of the injector also flows back to the fuel tank.
The fuel supply and speed control system of the 12-cylinder V-shaped diesel engine is equipped with two fuel pumps and two fuel filters to be used in parallel due to the increase in the total fuel supply. A hand pressure pump is installed on the right side above the front end of the diesel engine to pump oil and remove air from the fuel system when starting. When connecting the low-pressure fuel line of the 12-cylinder V-shaped diesel engine, it should be installed according to the connection method shown in the figure.
